Clinton City Manager Robert Johnston was named the winner of the 2025 Gerald Wilkins Award on July 24. The award is named for the late Wilkins, who was a city manager and municipal adviser to the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.

On his first day officially acting in the position, Hardy Sperle was introduced as the new emergency management director for Custer County at Monday’s Custer County Commissioner’s meeting.
