An alleged fleeing felon was arrested Tuesday after he led police on a high speed chase through residential areas in Clinton and then on U.S. Highway 183 south of Clinton, before being taken into custody by the Clinton Police Department.
Clinton City Hall is now open, the fitness center at Acme Park will open Monday and plans are underway to prepare to be able to open the swimming pool on June 15.
The Clinton City Council and City Attorney Ryan Meacham met briefly behind closed doors Tuesday “regarding the purpose of discussing the employment, hiring, appointment … of the office of the city manager.”
A bill that would add four domestic violence offenses to the state’s list of violent crimes is headed for Gov. Kevin Stitt’s desk, and indications are he will sign it.
