100 days, 100 items

Ethan Cook, of Corn, left, brought 100 stickers and Zayden Beatty, of Burns Flat, brought 100 pennies for the 100th day of school at WOCS.

Telephone and assistive equipment is available for eligible Oklahomans who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind and those with speech communication needs through the Oklahoma School for the Deaf’s Equipment Distribution Program.

Winter not done yet

With temperatures dipping below zero, these cows owned by Steve and Janie Stermer huddle together for warmth. Many farmers and ranchers have been scurrying in the bitter cold to make sure their animals have access to water and food. In the photo below, the surface of Clinton Lake appears to be a solid sheet of ice. Another round of snow was forecast for today and temperatures are not expected to be above freezing until Friday.
