SportChassis, located in south Clinton, announced Monday it is reducing its workforce significantly to address the recent announcement from Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA), the company that manufactures the Freightliner chassis that are modified at the Clinton plant, would implement production downtime at both their manufacturing locations due to the global shortage of semiconductors.
Five children from Clinton and four from Weatherford were involved in a two-vehicle accident shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Highway 66 and U.S. Highway 270, approximately four miles south of Calumet in Canadian County.
