DEAR HARRIETTE: My wife and I have dabbled a bit in the stock market since we have been married. I'm a lot more interested than she is, but we have been making decisions about what to buy together. It was fun during the pandemic, too, because we made some money investing in technology and services that people were using a lot to get by. But now we have hit a wall.
The United States has long been the world leader in science and technology. That’s no accident — it’s the result of sustained investment in our research enterprise. But we’ve let our commitment slip and we’ve lost focus on the importance of scientific and technological leadership. It’s time we redouble our efforts and reinvest in American science and technology.

Teachers from the Clinton Public School District attended a conference Wednesday and Thursday to aid the success of future students. Although attendance was not mandatory, roughly 130 dedicated individuals came to help create a brighter future.
