OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — The Transportation Department is going to train 163 track inspectors to dramatically increase the number of people who know how to spot critical problems with railroad bridges, but the railroads themselves will still be responsible for inspecting their own bridges and the results will still be kept confidential.

(AP) – Federal health officials are warning that certain lots of raw cat food may be contaminated with H5N1 bird flu after a pet cat in San Francisco that ate the food became infected with the virus and had to be euthanized.
Edward James Richardson, 65, of Clinton, was arrested after a search and seizure of his motel room led to police discovery of controlled dangerous substances, paraphernalia, and an imitation firearm, despite Richardson’s former felony convictions.
Aside from revisiting the roof at the hospital, the Clinton City Council also received an update on the sewer situation and accepted FAA and ODAA grants for hangar construction at the airport during Tuesday’s meeting.
