Being a senior in an athletic program, especially one of the top players, brings with it the status of being at the top of the pecking order in the school.

DEAR HARRIETTE: I went to a lovely party hosted by a prominent, successful couple. In the past, they have not wanted photos to be shared from their events, but this time they didn’t say anything. They even had a professional photographer there, and they allowed everyone to take pictures with their cameras and smartphones. Now that the event is over, I want to post pictures like I always do after I have enjoyed myself. But I’m not sure if it would be appropriate to do so. Short, intense workouts are beneficial

Dear Doctors: I started running a year ago to deal with stress and to get in better shape. Instead of a set distance, I do 15 minutes of mixed fast and slow running twice a day. But a friend says unless you’re always trying to go farther and faster, it’s not really helpful. Is that actually true?

Soccer teams advance past round one

To kick off its hunt for a possible threepeat, the Clinton Red Tornado soccer team set its eyes on the visiting Madill Wildcats while the Lady Reds traveled to take on Chickasha. The Red Tornadoes prevailed in a 6-3 victory ,and the Lady Reds struck late to snag a 2-1 win to advance to the next round.
