(AP) – Another proposed airline buyout is renewing debate over whether there has been too much consolidation in the industry — and whether consumers are paying the price.
As of press time Tuesday, no new candidates had filed for the Clinton Public School’s Board of Education Dist. 4 seat.
A house located at 907 N. 19th St. went up in flames Tuesday morning just after 10:30 a.m. The home quickly became fully involved in the blaze with flames pouring out the west end of the structure. At the time of the fire, the front windows of the house were boarded up and according to Assistant Fire Chief Mark Switzer, no one was believed to be inside the structure when the fire erupted. The Clinton Fire Department along with Arapaho Fire Department responded to the scene.
Construction is wrapping up on the Clinton Regional Airport’s newest addition of a 92-foot by 70foot commercial hangar which signals an end to repairs after a 2021 tornado left damage across the airport including the destruction of an existing hangar.
Fundraising continues for the United Fund of Clinton after its annual fundraising drive kicked off in October and is slowly creeping toward a $40,000 goal to help support various local organizations across Clinton.
According to the Elk City Police Department, a 14-yearold male was taken into custody after being discovered to have sent out pictures of himself with a gun Monday at Elk City High School. The school was on lockdown status.
