Clintonites and Oklahomans will soon be receiving relief at the cash register when they go to the grocery store. By a vote of 42-2, the Oklahoma Senate passed House Bill 1955 Thursday. The bill seeks to repeal the 4.5% state tax currently levied on groceries. The bill has gone to Gov. Kevin Stitt’s desk, which is expected to be signed into law.
