Over the past month, Eastside Academy’s students have been learning about the trials and tribulations of African descendants while on the North American continent. They’ve done so by studying the lives of significant civil rights activists, such as Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, and, most recently, Ruby Bridges. Eastside student Noemi Escarcega penned a letter in appreciation to her.
