(AP) – Billionaire businessman and real estate mogul Frank McCourt said he’s putting together a consortium to purchase TikTok’s U.S. business, adding to the number of investors hoping to benefit from a new federal law that requires TikTok’s China-based parent company to sell the popular platform or face a ban.

CHS grads make big awards haul

The Clinton High School class of 2024 officially accepted $598,600 in scholarships Tuesday night during an awards ceremony hosted in the Clinton Middle School Auditorium.

With the last meeting held in February, the Clinton Economic Development Authority (CEDA) reconvened Tuesday afternoon to discuss the latest developments and updates happening within Clinton. Roland Mower, director of Clinton Economic Development, provided an update on the discussions regarding access to Gary Boulevard in connection with the Exit 65 project.

The Clinton Police Department (CPD) is actively searching for a local man who allegedly stole an ice machine from Nance Elementary School and now faces charges of second-degree burglary.

Firefighters clear wreck

Around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday firefighters Colin Weider, left, and Tyler Calvert clean up debris from a two-car accident at the intersection of 12th Street and Gary Boulevard while Police Officer Layne Mitchell takes a report of the accident. It is believed nobody was hurt in the accident.
