In support of law enforcement, legislation developed with the assistance of a fallen Tulsa police officer will be named after him next session. Sgt. Craig Johnson, a 15-year veteran of the Tulsa Police Department, was shot recently after a traffic stop went wrong. He later died from his injuries.

The announcement in June that the 2020 Oklahoma State Fair had been cancelled left many here wondering if the 2020 Custer County Free Fair will follow suit. The answer — for now, at least — is that it’s too soon to know.
This week Clinton City Attorney Ryan Meacham informed the city council the federal bankruptcy judge in Texas has removed the hold that was put on the condemnation of the Glancy Motel. This means the property is condemned and the city has the authority to demolish it at any time.
