In an article published Tuesday regarding Monday’s commissioner’s meeting, Clinton Daily News reported, “Custer County Sheriff Dan Day mentioned members of some of the fire departments in the county are planning a meeting this week to discuss lowering the sheriff office’s share of the sales tax.”

Thomas resident Launa Anne Kimble, 61, has been charged with stealing roughly $8,000 from the Clinton Roundup Club while serving as its secretary and treasurer.
Clinton Police Department School Resource Officer Lacey Hulett was promoted Monday evening to the rank of sergeant. Police Chief Paul Rinkel congratulated Hulett and thanked her for her service to the community.
