Moore asks for marijuana concern study

State Rep. Anthony Moore of Clinton submitted an interim study for illegal foreign land acquisition in Oklahoma. Roughly 135 interim studies were submitted by Oklahoma State House of Representatives last month and House Speaker Charles McCall will announce July 23 which studies have been approved.

Sen. Inhofe helping to fight illegal marijuana

In regard to the illegal marijuana activity in Oklahoma, U.S. Sen. James Inhofe has requested $4 million to support the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drug Control’s (OBN) efforts to combat drug trafficking in the state.

Weatherford resident Jeffrey Ashcroft, 35, was issued an arrest warrant for assault with a dangerous weapon. Ashcroft was allegedly doing doughnuts with his vehicle June 27 in the yard of Jennifer Price who called 911 about the incident.

FFA begins work on CHS greenhouse for upcoming year

The Clinton High School FFA department has been making progress on the greenhouse for the new horticulture class, a new addition to CHS. The greenhouse will be located next to the FFA classroom.

Oklahoma State health officials are looking for public feedback regarding the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Feedback is needed before July 30 for the State Plan of Program Operations for the 2022 Federal Fiscal Year.
