DEAR HARRIETTE: My girlfriend's family randomly stopped speaking to me, and I have no idea why. She and I have been on great terms, and I've never done anything foul to her. Up until recently, every time I would visit my girlfriend's house, I'd get a warm greeting from her mom and younger siblings. Ruiz joins police department

Clinton Police officer Manuel Ruiz has surpassed his three-month probation period as a new employee who was hired in mid-July. Ruiz said he has experienced a lot in his first few months on the job.

Corn Bible Academy was scheduled to move into its new location in Clinton over the Christmas break, but Superintendent Tim McDonald said that won’t be possible.

Lions Club donates holiday meals

On Monday the Noon Lions Club of Clinton gave back to the community by passing out Thanksgiving meals to 30 different families in need this holiday season.
