Oklahoma Senate President Pro Tempore Greg Treat on Wednesday announced changes to Senate leadership and some committee chair assignments.

What started as one officer following a speeding vehicle turned into a suspect search requiring two Clinton police officers and two Custer County sheriff’s deputies.
Clinton fireman John Denney sprays water on cotton bales Wednesday morning at the cotton gin located at Midwest Farmers. Cotton bales had caught on fire before 10 a.m. and there appeared to be minimal damage.
Clinton’s annual Halloween trunk or treat will be Saturday. Residents are also encouraged to partake in trick-or-treating that day as well. The official trick-or-treating hours for the city will be 6-9 p.m. on Saturday. No activities are scheduled on Halloween day.
Free dance lessons have begun here and are held on Mondays from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Clinton Middle School cafeteria.
