DEAR HARRIETTE: I recently received advice from someone suggesting that I should not befriend boys because I already have a boyfriend. This is my first time having a boyfriend, but I have a group of male friends I have been close to for years. It feels weird to walk away from my true friends in order to have a relationship. This advice has left me contemplating whether I should follow this suggestion. I value friendships with both males and females, but I am unsure if it is appropriate to limit my interactions based on my relationship status.

DEAR HARRIETTE: I am the older sister to two incredibly successful younger siblings, both thriving in their careers at Fortune 500 companies. While I couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments, I find myself struggling to make ends meet, and the contrast in our financial situations is difficult to ignore. Witnessing their achievements has, at times, created a sense of inadequacy about my own life. While I celebrate their victories, I can't help but question my own independent path and wonder why I haven't achieved the same level of success.
• According to the Audubon Society, exterior lights turned on at night are light pollution to animals like migrating birds. The artificial light spatially disorients the birds and gives them a false horizon; birds often will fly toward backlit windows in order to correct their flight, ultimately ending in death. At least 100 million birds are killed every year by exterior lights. How can you help? Turn off your exterior lights between midnight and dawn (which are peak migration hours for birds) and close your blinds and drapes to keep interior lighting indoors. Use timers if turning the lights on and off becomes burdensome.

DEAR HARRIETTE: My best friend wants to apologize for hurting me by stealing my boyfriend. The betrayal and pain caused by her actions have deeply affected me, and I am struggling to come to terms with the situation.
Dear Doctors: I recently developed very bad psoriasis, but only on my scalp. The itch is awful. I'm not interested in all the medications advertised on TV because of the many side effects they list. Can you recommend anything that would work better for me without these side effects?
What if President Joe Biden opened his upcoming State of the Union address this way: On this Hill which was my home, I am stirred by old friendships. Though total agreement between the executive and the Congress is impossible, total respect is important.
