After going on an offensive tear through the season for the Seminole State Trojans, which ended with being named Player of the Year in the Junior College ranks, former Clinton Reds baseball player Caden Powell now can call himself a pro ball player, as he was drafted by the Houston Astros in the sixth round of the Major League Baseball draft Monday afternoon.
Over the weekend Clinton High School track and field athlete, Parker Adams, traveled to Searcy, Ark., to compete in the USATF Region 9 Junior Olympic Championships where he placed third overall in the decathlon.
