Reds can’t match Eagles’ power

A 14-play, 81-yard, Weatherford scoring drive to open the second half put the game on ice, and even though the clock showed 4:32 to play in the third quarter, the Clinton football team’s comeback attempts came up short in a 14-0, home loss in Friday’s Custer County Conflict.

Six Lady Reds earn all-district honors

A haul of awards last year continued this year for the Clinton softball team, as six players earned alldistrict honors, and there’s still all-region awards left to give out.

The No. 6 Clinton football team (4-1 overall, 2-0 in district) and No. 2 Weatherford (5-0, 2-0) meet for the annual Custer County Conflict and potentially the district title at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Tornado Bowl.
