A 15-day gap between the Clinton soccer program’s March 12 game against Lawton MacArthur and the first game of the Clinton Soccer Classic scheduled for Friday March 26 allowed both rosters time to heal up from injuries.
OKLAHOMA CITY – Leading 8-1 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, the Clinton baseball team (1-3 overall, as of press time Monday) looked like it was headed for a nice, spring-break win at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.
WRIGHT CITY – Another road trip for the No. 13 Arapaho-Butler baseball team (4-2 overall) ended with more wins and a continuation of quality play.

The Arapaho-Butler slow-pitch softball team lost its seasonopening doubleheader against Hobart at home Thursday. A-B fell to Hobart in game one, 15-6, and, 9-1, in game two. Sophomore Katie Edelen, pictured, put together a nice two games at the plate, going 4-for-5. CDN
The No. 13 Arapaho-Butler baseball team (3-2 overall) went 1-1 in its first two games at the Wright City Festival.
It’s been a wild ride for slow-pitch softball since it returned to Clinton High School in 2019, as the program played just one season, before CO- VID-19 shut down the program in 2020, and now, it returns with a new head coach in Shawn Finch.
Clinton forward Maria Nolasquez has scored nine goals in four games. The junior backed up all-time leading goal scorer Macey Fernandez for two years and is breaking out now. CDN
