Lady Indians are off to strong start

Winning and playing at a high level are becoming a regular trend for the Arapaho-Butler softball team (6-3 overall), and it’s really showed that elite play over the last week.

Rain storms saturated the playing fields for the Arapaho-Butler baseball team and the Clinton softball team for most of the last week, and it’s forced the rescheduling/cancelling of multiple games.

Clinton rebounds, sweeps Chickasha

A long stretch of quality opponents and hard-fought contests ended in a 2-5 stretch of play for the Clinton volleyball team (4-6 overall), but it cleaned the slate off with an in-control, 3-0 sweep of Chickasha Tuesday night at the Tornado Dome.

ANADARKO – Monday’s 9-7, district-opening win at Anadarko for the Clinton softball team isn’t just one victory, it’s a triumph from numerous standpoints for the Lady Reds.

A-B earns tourney runner-up

ELK CITY – This past weekend’s Arapaho-Butler Fall Baseball Classic Tournament was obviously supposed to be played at home, but Friday’s monsoon forced it to be moved to Elk City’s turfed fields, where A-B reached the championship game but came up just short of the title.

The Clinton football team hosts its annual Meet the Players event at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Tornado Bowl.

CHS gets plenty of work in tourney

The scrappy toughness that the Clinton volleyball team (3-5 overall) displayed in its first few games showed itself again in the squad’s home, Best of the West Tournament Saturday, but it came up short of placing in the top three, falling in the third-place game.

Reds ratchet up intensity in first padded practice

Friday afternoon saw the pads come out for the Clinton football team, and anyone that’s watched this group knows there was plenty of physicality to go around in drills that involved contact.
