Sandra Kay Whiteskunk, age 60, of Towaoc, Colorado, was born April 1, 1965, in Clinton, Oklahoma, to Philmon and Irene (Hatch) Whiteskunk. She passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in Towaoc, surround-ed by loved ones.

Sandra was raised in the Elk City and Hammon areas and attended I.S.P. Schools in Hammon. In 1998, she moved to Towaoc, Colorado, where she would spend the rest of her life. She married the love of her life, Tommy Kuebler, in 2005 in Towaoc.

Sandra enjoyed beadwork, cooking, coloring, all kinds of music, and most of all, spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Philmon Whiteskunk; brothers, Philmon Whiteskunk Jr. and Hugo Whiteskunk; sister, Pamela Whiteskunk; and her son, Richard Whiteskunk.

She is survived by her mother, Irene Hatch-Whiteskunk of Towaoc; sons, Steven Ridgebear of Elk City and Justin Ridgebear of Towaoc; daughters, Valerie Ridgebear of Towaoc and Pam Ridgebear of Elk City; sisters, Kimberly Whiteskunk, Beverly Whiteskunk, and Mary Whiteskunk, all of Towaoc, and Dorene Hart-Whiteskunk of Elk City; brother, Lehman Whiteskunk of Towaoc; 14 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

A traditional wake service was held yesterday, at the Hammon ERC Building. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. today, also at the Hammon ERC Building, with Mona Bearshield officiating. Burial will follow in the Hammon Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
