School board appoints new member

The Clinton Public Schools Board of Education welcomed a new board member and tackled a range of issues from rising insurance costs to construction updates during its Monday meeting.

Duerksen takes CHS music post

Clinton High School has recently made a new addition to the vocal music program with the hiring of Kimberly Duerksen as the new director. Duerksen was the choir director at the middle school last year, and in taking over the high school program, she looks to keep improving and growing it like she did with the middle school.

Amphitheater to host two more acts

The Levitt AMP Clinton Music Series will take place Friday at the R.E. “Dick” Lloyd Amphitheatre in McLain Rogers Park. Starting at 6:30 p.m., attendees will have the opportunity to indulge in a variety of offerings from vendors and food trucks. This week’s theme is “Shamrocks and Horseshoes.”
