The United Fund of Clinton will cease operations by the end of 2024 after supporting local agencies and programs since the 1950s, forcing the remaining beneficiaries to seek alternative funding sources to maintain their services.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has established a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at 1005 E. Third St. in Cordell to provide assistance to Custer County residents, including farmers and farm owners, affected by the recent devastating tornadoes.
