At 10:50 a.m. Tuesday at 1709 S. U.S. Highway 183, an Oklahoma Department of Transportation truck rearended a semi-truck carrying wood pallets causing the semi to flip over on its side, narrowly missing gas pumps at the Domino C-Store, the Clinton Fire Department reported. CFD also said both drivers were out of their vehicles when they arrived and had no major injuries.

Much attention has been turned to firefighters, and particularly their efforts in battling area wildfires of late, but a particular piece of Clinton Fire Department history was discussed at the Clinton City Council meeting Tuesday night.
