After a contentious meeting Tuesday between the city council and City Manager Mark Skiles, a special council meeting has been called for 5:30 p.m. Friday to: “A. Consider, discuss and take action on adjourning to an executive session for the purpose of discussing the employment, hiring, appointment, promotion, demotion, disciplining or resignation of the Office of City Manager … .”

On Monday, May 4, 2020, John Randall Johnston, loving father of four children, passed away at the age of 57. John was born on July 3, 1962 in Gainesville, Texas to Bo and Janice Johnston. He later moved with his family to Clinton, Oklahoma. He loved the red dirt, sunsets and getting to play on a state champion football team.
. Funeral services will be held for Dorothy Hunter, 91, of Taloga, at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Lenora.
