New sheriff making changes

Dan Day was officially sworn in to assume the duties as sheriff of Custer County by a familiar face Monday at the Custer County Courthouse.

Cheryl McCullers may not have grown up in Clinton, but she has chosen this town as her home and hopes to make a positive impact on fellow residents.

During the regular meeting of the Clinton City Council Tuesday, councilmen discussed the purchase of a new truck mount jetter, water plant operations, went into executive session, held a public hearing and appointed five people to the Midwestern Oklahoma Industrial Foundation.
