First Baptist Church Music Minister Xavier Abraham is hosting a Celebration of Freedom in America concert July 3 at McLain Rogers Park. The choir consists of roughly 65 members, but Abraham hopes more people will join so he can achieve his goal of a 100-person choir.

After 19 years at the Clinton Regional Airport, DeWayne Hudson, right, is retiring from his job as the airport’s, “ramp rat.” But, the title is staying in use, as it’s handed off to Larry Cornelsen, left. Cornelsen gifted Hudson numerous items, including multiple coffee cups, which is reference to Hudson’s habit of getting coffee before work every morning. Cornelsen said he can now pick up coffee at all the surrounding stores with all his extra time in retirement. CDN
Clinton resident Carl Sterling Lynn Musick, 20, has been charged with first degree rape for allegedly raping a 14-year-old female when he was 17.
