Former fire chief

Part of the Champlain Tower’s south condo building in Surfside, Fla., collapsed early morning June 24 causing mass devastation. As of Friday, there are roughly 148 people missing and 18 found dead. After seeing photos of the collapsed building, former Clinton Fire Department Chief Randy Carpenter was reminded of Oklahoma City’s 1995 Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing.

Agriculture in Classroom hosted at local auction facility

Clinton Livestock Auction was the host of one of the stops for the program Agriculture in the Classroom on the western tour called Way out West. Teachers from all around the state toured agriculture facilities in the western part of the state to learn about agricultural practices to incorporate in their classrooms. Fifty-one teachers participated in this program.
