State Sen. Micheal Bergstrom, R-Adair, has filed a measure modifying the No Patient Left Alone Act, which was approved by the legislature during the 2021 session and will go into effect on Nov. 1. Senate Bill 1096 would ensure patients hospitalized during a declared health emergency could be visited by a pastor, minister, spiritual adviser or other religious leader.

Clinton’s City Council members accepted two bids during Tuesday’s regular meeting.
Clinton Police Department Sgt. Peter Porcher and Detective Michael Bouziden responded to several calls Monday to aid AllianceHealth Clinton workers with “unruly subjects.”
The Clinton Beautification Committee is looking for volunteers to help spread rocks and mulch around Acme Brick Park Saturday morning.
