The Cheyenne & Arapaho Tribes EMS plays a bit of a unique role in the community. “We are tribal. We do 911 calls, we also do interfacility calls,” said Executive Director Ann Ashcraft.
Custer County Sheriff ’s Office
Custer County’s Sheriff’s Office is comprised of many different officers and employees in different roles, all working together to provide law enforcement across the county and keep the jail in order. “Our department is really several departments because of the way the sheriff’s office functions,” said Sheriff Dan Day. “All of our guys do work hard – everyone in every bit of it.”
It was a big year for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, with everything from advancements in equipment and technology to responding to particularly unexpected emergencies.
