NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Austin Peay State University has reinstated a professor who was fired for his social media post after the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. The Tennessee school is also paying the teacher $500,000 in the settlement.

This year marks the 100 year anniversary of Route 66 and Clinton’s Oklahoma Route 66 Museum Thursday welcomed its first group, America’s Automotive Trust, celebrating the historic highway’s centennial with a caravan of classic cars traveling “The Drive Home” along the entire Route 66, from its end in Santa Monica to the start in Chicago.
The Clinton-based Farmrail System, Inc. has announced expansion in the form of Land Rush Rail, a wholly owned subsidiary represented by a 37-mile interstate branch line connecting Blackwell to BNSF Railway’s intercity route at Wellington, Kan.
