My Christmas break was fun. I went to my Pappy and Mammy’s house for Christmas. We opened presents, ate snacks, and played football outside.
After Christmas I went to Atlanta, Georgia, with my dad and brother.

DEAR ABBY: Thirty years ago, a friend of my husband’s roommate passed away of AIDS and was cremated. His family had ostracized him. I have no idea who they are or where they are. The roommate left and later died, also from AIDS.
DEAR HARRIETTE: I like to wear high-heeled shoes, mainly because I am pretty short. If I wear heels, I feel like I am at least getting up to near where other girls are. I like that aspect, but sometimes my feet hurt like crazy.
