The Arapaho-Butler Lady Indians came up just a sliver short against the Vanoss Lady Wolves in the area consolation finals Saturday at Shawnee. The Lady Indians’ season ended in a 46-38 defeat.

Bennett places third at state

Clinton’s Trey Bennett closed out his high school wrestling career Saturday by becoming a two-time placer at the Class 4A Wrestling State Tournament in Oklahoma City.

The Arapaho-Butler Lady Indians extended their basketball season Thursday night by beating the Strother Lady Yellow Jackets, 48-36, in the consolation side of the bracket in the area tournament at Shawnee. The season ended for the Indians, as the A-B boys dropped their second game of the playoffs with a 57-41 loss to Drummond.
