The Clinton High School boys’ golf team was represented by Scout Acosta at the Class 4A State Golf Tournament at the Shangri-La Golf Club and Resort on Monkey Island, where he finished tied for 55th place.
Tuesday evening’s City Council meeting also focused on the Riverside Golf Course management, along with discussions on the Clinton Police Department’s (CPD) gun surplus and the Oklahoma Municipal Assurance Group (OMAG) trustee election.
Over the weekend, both of the Arapaho-Butler Indians girls’ and boys’ track and field teams traveled to Western Heights High School to take part in the Class A State Track and Field Meet. While it was a good time for the track team, Coach Tyler Foale said his team was buried in the other sports advancing to their respective state tournaments.
