Victor Mendez Rios, age 60, lifelong resident of Clinton, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025, in Oklahoma City. He was born October 30, 1964, in Clinton to Faustino and Felix (Mendez) Rios.
Victor was raised in Clinton and attended Clinton Public Schools. He worked for many years in the oil field, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication, until health issues eventually forced him to retire. Even after leaving the oil field, Victor remained active — he loved being outdoors, tending to his yard, riding his bike through town, and spending time with his family. He was happiest surrounded by those he loved and will be remembered for his big heart, his sense of humor, and his loyalty to his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Faustino and Felix Rios; his sister, Angie Flores; and his brother, Tino Rios.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Victor Rios Jr., Robert Rios, and Omar Rios, all of Clinton; his daughter, Roxana Rios of Clinton; his sisters, Kristi Rios of Mississippi and Elizabeth Rivera of Clinton; his brothers, Joe Rios of Tennessee and Alfonzo Rios of Clinton; along with fourteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Hyman Memorial Chapel located at the Lee Hometown Funeral Home in Clinton. Visitation will be held all day Wednesday, October 29, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
Services are under the direction of the Lee Hometown Funeral Home of Clinton.
