Ronald Foster Cryer, 70, of Bridge Creek, OK passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025.

Ronald “Ronnie” Cryer was born on April 26, 1955, in Clinton, OK where he spent his early years and graduated from Clinton High School in 1973. Ronnie had a diverse work history which included being in sales, over-the-road truck driver, and mostly working in the oilfield in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Italy. He finished his career as a respected drilling consultant.

From his upbringing in Clinton, OK, Ronnie learned quickly that hard work was a necessary part of building anything of value that would last.

This was true of his 44-year marriage to his sweetheart Zelda.

Ronnie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and had many interests in life which included fishing, motorcycles, and building race cars, which was his true passion.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” Cryer, mother, Ninnie (Durfey) Cryer, and sister, Patty (Cryer) Thompson.

He is survived by his wife, Zelda Cryer of Bridge Creek, OK, his son Jason Cryer and wife Johnna of Oklahoma City, OK, his daughter Amber Compton and husband William of Moore, OK, his son Dustin Cryer of Bridge Creek, OK, as well as three grandchildren, Vaden Compton, Lilly Cryer, and Riley Cryer, his brother Rusty Cryer of Perkins, OK, his brother Rudee Cryer and wife Karen of Perkins, OK, and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have shared their love and support during this time. Your kindness is a true reflection of the impact Ronnie had on those around him and a reminder of a life well lived.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Woodland Hills Baptist Church, Newcastle, Oklahoma.
