Southwestern Oklahoma is set for major progress thanks to the recent approval of significant funding for two important programs focused on boosting rural development and improving nutrition assistance services. Local community leaders and partners from southwestern Oklahoma gathered at the South Western Oklahoma Development Authority (SWODA) in Burns Flat on April 19, where they were awarded crucial grants totaling $2,753,015 for their area communities. The grants include $2,590,909 from the Rural Economic Action Plan (REAP) and $162,106 from the Community Expansion of Nutrition Assistance (CENA) program.
