DETROIT (AP) — A horrific crash that killed six high school girls in Oklahoma two years ago has the head of the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board urging parents to warn teenagers about the risk of driving after using marijuana.
Southwestern Oklahoma State University students Michelle Carter and Amanda Taylor were recently awarded the Oklahoma Continuing Education Grant for $1,500 and the P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) International Program for Continuing Education Grant valued at $4,000 from the P.E.O. Projects Fund, Inc. Both programs assist women in attaining their educational goals and both individuals were sponsored by the local P.E.O. Chapter FR of Clinton.
