Those in attendance of the regular meeting of the Clinton City Council, held Tuesday evening at City Hall, were grateful for the brevity of the meeting due to the blistering cold outside. The agenda included rescinding a condemnation of property on South 10th Street, approving payment at the Clinton Lake Water Treatment Plant, and appointing a new member to the Golf Advisory Board.

Before Clinton Public Schools made the decision to resume classes after the cold weather made it impossible to attend school, the district reached out to the Clinton Police Department, the City of Clinton, the school district’s transportation office and Oklahoma Highway Patrol to make sure it would be safe to attend Wednesday.
