Officials reveal official 2025-2026 state map

Officials recently gathered at the State Capitol to reveal the 2025-2026 state map soon to be available to travelers. The bi-fold map highlights Route 66 in anticipation of the Mother Road turning 100 in 2026. Next year, the nation will celebrate the anniversary with a year-long series of events, promotions, concerts and birthday parties from Chicago to the Santa Monica Pier.

After months and months of reports of financial woe in regard to accounts receivable at Clinton Regional Hospital, Wednesday’s meeting of the Clinton Hospital Authority offered a different tale in regard to payments received at the medical facility.

Clinton High School has announced the recipients of August’s Red Tornado Boy and Girl Award, an honor bestowed upon senior students who exemplify school spirit and an academic work ethic. Every month a ballot is sent out by Principal Michelle Sorter on which teachers vote for who they believe best exhibits the values of CHS. For the month of August Lillian Lime and Kyn’Tavion Hill were selected for the honor.

A small house fire at 921 Sherwood Wednesday night resulted in minimal damage to the roof that was in the process of being replaced.

House Speaker Pro Tempore Anthony Moore, R-Clinton, on Tuesday secured unanimous committee passage of a bill that would waive financial eligibility requirements for children of longtime public school teachers applying for the Oklahoma Promise Scholarship.
