Among the items of business discussed at the regular meeting of the city council held on Tuesday evening, the most time and discussion was given to the matter of whether or not to condemn one or more of four properties owned by the same family.

At Tuesday’s Regional Opaa! Recipe Contest at the Clinton High School Cafeteria, the top two finishers belonged to two women who work in the local high school cafeteria.

Police tape encircled the parking lot of TH Rogers Tuesday evening after an individual died after a report of shots fired. It is believed the incident is related to a homicide that took place earlier in the day at the Primavera Apartments.

Tuesday’s brutal winds of almost 25 miles per hour with gusts of almost 50 mph in Clinton resulted in two power pole lines going down by the Clinton High School Ag Barn.
