Anthony Moore, an attorney based in Clinton, announced his candidacy Thursday night for the Oklahoma Legislature in next year’s elections.
Besides $27,500 to upgrade air handling in the County Jail, Custer County commissioners also spent $5,000 Monday to renew Custer’s membership in an organization that could save the lives of some of its emergency responders some day.
The three-year Elevate Clinton economic development plan that’s been in the works this year will kick off with a city-wide cleanup effort from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Oct. 5, said Chamber of Commerce president Julie Burden Caldwell.
Fundraising has kicked off for the 2019-2020 “Backpacks for Kids” program, which serves hungry elementary students in Clinton and Arapaho.
