Clinton Fire Department Capt. Forrest Valentine, right, and Ronnie Williams help run a hose into a structure fire that occurred around 2:15 p.m. Tuesday at 401 S. 11 Street. CFD was able to get the fire under control quickly. They were assisted on scene by the Arapaho Fire Department, the Clinton Police Department and Sinor EMS.
The Clinton school district is facing an unexpected expense of thousands of dollars following a prank by Clinton High School Class of 2020 graduates. The roof of the Tornado Dome was defaced the night before Clinton’s virtual graduation ceremony in May, and the roof will now need to be completely repainted.
In the continuing saga of this year’s Ward 2, 4 and mayoral election, the Clinton City Council met briefly Wednesday and voted to officially declare the filing period that ended on June 17 void.
