United Fund thermometer rises

Clinton High School art teacher Joy Badillo paints the Clinton United Fund thermometer which will be used to track the progress of this year’s fund drive. Since its official kickoff earlier this month, donations are already starting to come in.

The Clinton City Council modified one of its current economic development incentives to make it more attractive for existing businesses to expand, and new businesses to locate here.

Tonight the Clinton Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly Friends On Frisco family outing from 5-9 p.m. at Engleman Park in downtown Clinton.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is offering a $10,000 reward for information that can help agents solve the 2019 death of 57-yearold Randy Gathers.

Cars collide in town

A two-car wreck with injuries transpired at 1:49 p.m. Tuesday at S. 4th St. and Nowahy Ave. One person was transported to the hospital with neck and back injuries. Clinton firefighter Calvin Baggett, left, and CFD Capt. Blake Shaddon inspect the damage to see if the car is still operable.
