Judge’s action advances sale of Glancy Motel

The sale of the condemned Glancy Motel, located in the 200 block of Gary Blvd., took a big step forward when a federal bankruptcy court judge approved the request from the bankruptcy trustee that names Jimmie Johnson Real Estate in Clinton to officially facilitate the sale of the property.

Filing period for mayor and Ward 2 and 4 City Council seats in Clinton will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, 2020, through Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020, at the Custer County Election Board in Clinton.

Goodbye summer fun

Veterans visitation box

Shepherd Home Health and Hospice along with GR Energy Services constructed a visitation booth for the Clinton Veterans Center and it was delivered this week. The booth was built so veterans in the memory care unit could visit with their families. James Morgan, left, and Shepherd’s Nicole Morgan, next to James, served in the U.S. Navy and have completed past projects for local veterans.
