One man was injured in what is believed to be a single-vehicle accident before 11 a.m. Monday. Clinton Police Chief Paul Rinkel said the individual was mediflighted due to the injuries he suffered in the accident. It’s believed the individual was traveling north on U.S. 183/Fourth Street when for an unknown reason he veered past the lanes of traffc and started mowing down signs just off the roadway. The truck jumped the drainage culvert, sheering off the front axel before striking the steel poles and coming to a stop by Barry’s West OK Computer.

As expressed in a recent school board meeting, Clinton Public Schools has had some trouble with attendance issues with virtual students. CPS Superintendent Tyler Bridges assures residents that after new measures were put in place attendance is back on track.
