Clinton Public Schools is awaiting the end of Phase 2 of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout to enact its plan to vaccinate all of its staff who wish to be in one day.

According to Oklahoma State Department of Health Regional Director Terri Salisbury, as of Jan. 25, the Custer County Health Department, in partnership with Southwestern Oklahoma State University School of Pharmacy and School of Nursing, have administered the COVID-19 vaccine to 4,932 individuals.

Waste will be sent to Weatherford

Republic Services, a recycling and waste disposal company, has closed its Clinton transfer station, and all of Clinton’s solid waste is now being taken to the Weatherford transfer station per an agreement between the company and the city.
