Slick roads cause multiple accidents

Most people were expecting temperatures to take a significant dip this week, but even being forewarned could not prevent a rash of accidents due to icy conditions Monday.

Cattlemen scholarships

Washita County Cattlemen’s Association awarded scholarships to Rayson Kuehne, left, of Cordell and Chelsea Nickel of Clinton. Students in the competition were asked to write an essay over the effects of COVID-19 on the beef cattle industry.

Sports and science winner

CHS student Mia Miskel holds the $1,000 check she received for the CHS science department for winning the Punt-Pass- Kick competition during the state finals football game.
