People love pets and thanks to a promotion being sponsored by Hill’s Pet Nutrition Clinton for the third straight year, it’s time for readers’ four-legged friends to be featured in the spotlight.

The Clinton Public Schools Board of Education held its monthly board meeting Monday with several guests invited by Washington Elementary and Clinton Middle School Principal Gene Ray coming to speak to the board members and sharing the state of the two schools after the first few months of the school year.

According to officials, the plan for construction at Red Wheat Drive has been revised and finalized, with an outlook that will keep all businesses open during the construction period – though, motorists are urged to pay extra attention in that area while construction is happening.
