Old friends reunite

Old friends that worked together at the Branding Iron Restaurant and the Oakwood Room in Clinton look over the book titled “Grits and Roses” during a book signing event held here this week. Enjoying their reliving the past are front row, from left, Willie Malone, Janie Everhart; back row, Teresa (Ravencraft) Kerby, author Liz Ravencraft and Peggy Keeney. The recently published book includes almost 20 years of stories of the time the Ravencrafts lived in Clinton.

Clinton Middle School Principal Nathan Meget is working with coaching consultant Mike Conn to create a student leadership program. Meget wants the program to one day expand throughout the school district.
